Terms of Service
Welcome to Moss in the Moonlight. By using this website and placing an order, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before purchasing.
About Us
Moss in the Moonlight is a small independent business offering crystals, jewellery, spiritual items, and related products. Many of our products are natural, delicate, or one-of-a-kind.
Product Information
We make every effort to ensure all descriptions, photographs, prices, and details are accurate at the time of listing.
Due to the natural nature of crystals and gemstones, variations in colour, shape, inclusions, texture, flash, and markings are normal and should be expected. Screen settings and lighting may also affect how items appear online.
Measurements and sizes are approximate unless otherwise stated.
Spiritual & Metaphysical Information
Any spiritual, energetic, or metaphysical information provided about crystals or products is offered for personal interest and spiritual practice only.
Our products and descriptions are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition and should not replace professional medical advice.
Orders
Once an order is placed, you will receive an order confirmation email.
We reserve the right to cancel or refuse orders where necessary, including in cases of pricing errors, stock issues, suspected fraud, or abusive behaviour.
Custom and personalised orders may require additional processing time.
Pricing & Payment
All prices are listed in GBP (£).
Payment must be received in full before items are dispatched.
Prices may change at any time without prior notice.
Shipping
We offer worldwide shipping and we aim to dispatch orders within the stated processing times where possible.
Delivery times are estimates and may vary due to postal delays, customs processes, weather conditions, or courier issues outside of our control.
We are not responsible for delays once parcels have been handed to the postal service.
Customers are responsible for ensuring their shipping address is correct before completing checkout.
Returns & Refunds
Please refer to our Returns, Refunds & Exchanges Policy for full details regarding cancellations, returns, exchanges, and faulty items.
Jewellery & Crystal Care
Crystal jewellery and carvings should always be handled carefully. Natural crystals may chip, crack, scratch, or show signs of wear over time, especially softer materials.
Care guidance is provided on our website where appropriate, and customers are responsible for handling items appropriately once received.
Intellectual Property
All website content, including photographs, product descriptions, branding, logos, graphics, and written content, belongs to Moss in the Moonlight unless otherwise stated.
Content may not be copied, reproduced, or used without permission.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Moss in the Moonlight shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products or website.
Nothing within these terms affects your statutory consumer rights under UK law.
Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update or amend these Terms of Service at any time without prior notice.

Returns, Refunds & Exchanges Policy
Natural Crystal Disclaimer
All of our crystals are natural products formed by nature, which means every piece is completely unique. Variations in colour, shape, texture, inclusions, size, and natural markings are normal and are not considered faults.
Photos are provided as accurately as possible, however slight differences may occur due to lighting and screen settings.
Because crystals are one-of-a-kind items, repairs are often not possible. Where appropriate, we may offer a replacement, exchange, store credit, or refund depending on the circumstances.
Items Purchased In Person
For items purchased at markets, fairs, pop-ups, or in-person events, we are not required to offer a refund or exchange if:
You Changed Your Mind
You No Longer Want The Item
You Selected The Wrong Item
We may refuse a refund or exchange if:
The Item Was Damaged After Purchase
You Attempted To Repair Or Alter The Item Yourself
The Natural Characteristics Of The Crystal Were Visible Before Purchase
If an item is genuinely faulty, damaged, or not as described, please contact us and we will work with you to find a fair solution.
Online Orders (Distance Selling)
Under UK consumer law, customers who purchase online, by phone, or by mail have the right to cancel their order within 14 days of receiving it, even if the item is not faulty.
To Qualify For A Return:
You Must Notify Us Within 14 Days Of Receiving Your Order
The Item Must Then Be Returned Within 14 Days Of Notifying Us
Items Should Be Returned In Their Original Condition Where Possible
Customers may inspect and handle items as they would in a physical shop. However, if an item is returned used, damaged, altered, chipped, broken, or not in its original condition, we may reduce the refund amount to reflect the loss in value.
Once we receive the returned item, refunds will be processed within 14 days.
Original standard delivery charges will also be refunded where applicable. Upgraded or express shipping costs are non-refundable beyond the standard delivery rate.
Faulty Or Damaged Items
If your item arrives damaged or develops a fault, please contact us as soon as possible with photos and your order details.
Depending On The Situation, We May Offer:
A Replacement (Where Available)
An Exchange
Store Credit
A Partial Refund
A Full Refund
As crystals are natural and often one-of-a-kind, an exact replacement may not always be possible.
We reserve the right to assess whether damage is due to a manufacturing issue, transit damage, or accidental misuse after delivery.
Custom, Intuitively Chosen & Personalised Items
The following items are non-returnable unless faulty:
Custom-Made Or Personalised Items
Intuitively Chosen Crystal Bundles Or Mystery Boxes
Items Altered Or Customised At Your Request
Repairs & Replacements
If an item develops a fault within 6 months of purchase, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, exchange, or refund under UK consumer law.
Due to the natural and delicate nature of crystals, repairs are not always possible. In these cases, we will offer the most appropriate alternative remedy available.
After 6 months, we may ask for evidence that the fault existed at the time of purchase.
Proof Of Purchase
We may ask for proof of purchase before processing a refund, exchange, or replacement. This can include:
Your Order Number
Receipt
Confirmation Email
Bank Or Payment Statement
Returns From Gift Recipients
Returns and refunds can only be processed for the original purchaser unless otherwise agreed.
Contact Us
If you have any questions about returns or refunds, please contact us and we’ll always do our best to help fairly and kindly.
Jewellery Care & Product Information
Crystal jewellery should always be handled and worn with care. Crystals are natural materials and some varieties are more delicate than others.
To Help Keep Your Jewellery In The Best Possible Condition, We Recommend:
Removing Jewellery Before Swimming, Bathing, Showering, Or Using Hot Tubs
Avoiding Contact With Chlorine, Salt Water, Perfumes, Aftershave, Lotions, And Cleaning Products
Removing Jewellery Before Sleeping, Exercising, Or Gym Workouts
Storing Jewellery Safely And Separately When Not In Use To Avoid Scratching Or Damage
Please note that some crystals should never be submerged in water, as moisture may damage, weaken, dissolve, or affect their appearance over time.
Softer crystals on the Mohs hardness scale — including but not limited to fluorite — may naturally chip, scratch, crack, or show wear with everyday use. This is considered normal wear and tear and not a manufacturing fault.
While in the customer’s possession, crystal jewellery should be treated with the utmost care.
All jewellery is made using S925 sterling silver unless otherwise stated in the product description.
Sterling silver naturally tarnishes over time, especially when exposed to moisture, chemicals, or air. To clean your jewellery, gently polish using only a clean, soft, dry cloth.
We do not recommend chemical silver cleaners or abrasive materials, as these may damage the crystals or silver finish.
